Bullett Raja Gets Associated With History By Shooting At Kakori

Director-actor Tigmanshu Dhulia is gearing up for the release of his upcoming directorial venture Bullett Raja, which has been shot extensively in Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata.

Reportedly, Dhulia loves shooting at historical places, but never got an opportunity to make such a place a part of his story. However, he fulfilled his wishes with Bullett Raja, as he worked around a sequence with symbolic references to the freedom struggle in India.

A major sequence of the film has been shot at Kakori, the same place where freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad led a major train robbery during the British rule in India. Tigmanshu always wanted to shoot at Kakori and he made the most of it with his film Bullett Raja.

A source close to the team says, “Kakori train bypass is a beautiful location to shoot as it is not densely populated. We did extensive recce to make a note of the train arriving pattern. The crew used to be informed 15 minutes in advance, to avoid any kind of damage or causality. The safety measures taken to shoot this part were abundant to avoid any kind of mishaps. This place is not much known in the film industry.

''Bullett Raja got itself associated with history by shooting at Kakori crossing. I have always been a student of history and really enjoy shooting at places with great historical value,” says an elated Dhulia.

Bullett Raja stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Sheirgill in the lead roles and is slated to release on November 29, 2013.

'Bullett Raja' Is A Flop

Bullett Raja has flopped at the box office. After taking a barely average start at the box office, the film didn't show much of a growth over the weekend. The weekdays saw further dip in collections, hence making it crystal clear that neither was audience much excited about stepping in while those who eventually did weren't quite enthusiastic in sharing positive word of mouth. Eventually, it turned out to be a 'thanda' affair at the box office with just about 35 crore coming at the end of first week. Now these are the kind of collections that should have ideally been accumulated by the film over the weekend! The verdict was more or less out soon after the film released and as a result the promotional effort too came to a standstill. Saif, who doesn't believe in over-promoting a film when the writing is clear on the wall, went silent. Sonakshi moved on to R... Rajkumar. Jimmy was busy with shooting of his films and Tigmanshu wasn't heard much either. As a result...
