Ram Gopal Varma Gets Police Protection After Receiving Threats

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film Satya 2, has been threatened and police security has been provided at his office and residence. However, neither RGV nor the cops have divulged any details about the nature of the threat that has been issued to the maverick filmmaker.

"On basis of an intercepted conversation Mumbai police gave me security..for various reasons I can't divulge the contents of the threat. For some important reasons I cannot comment on whether or not this threat to me is related to the content of Satya 2,” Varma posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Varma's Satya 2, which stars Puneet Singh Ratn and Anaika Soti in the lead roles, was earlier supposed to release on October 25, however it will now hit the theaters on November 8, 2013.
