Actor Imran Khan, who will be next seen opposite Kareena Kapoor in Punit Malhotra's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, recently revealed that he had initially rejected the role thrice before Punit managed to convince him!
In an interview, Imran admitted that when he was approached with the script, he had issues about the fact that the second half of the story is set in a rural set-up. Imran claims that he had wanted the film to be treated purely like a rom-com. Khan added that after five drafts and three rejections, Punit was finally able to convince him for the role.
A Dharma Productions flick, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is the love story between a self-centred urban youth and a NGO volunteer, who works for social issues.
