MRP :RS. 9899 Features and Specifications To start with the specifications, the Karbonn A21 has a 4.5-inch TFT display with a 480x800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, but has an underwhelming 512MB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS straight out of the box and there is no information whether it can be upgraded to 4.1 Jelly Bean. The best part is that the OS is a vanilla experience with a minimalistic skin that only Android veterans will be able to identify. To the everyday user, it is a near vanilla Android experience and that is a very good thing. The Karbonn A21 has 4GB built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Rs. 4,799 Videocon Mobiles has introduced a new 7-inch tablet called the Videocon VT71. Priced at Rs. 4,799, the Videocon tablet runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1.2GHz processor. The Videocon VT71 has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. It has a front-facing VGA camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM and expandable storage up to 32GB via T-Flash card.

Samsung has revealed two full HD monitors ahead of CES, the SC770 and SC750. It’s already anticipated that Samsung will have a pretty huge presence at CES, with all focus being on the purported Galaxy S IV, so we’re not surprised that Samsung’s goody bag of announcement is already overflowing.

Nikon D5200 This is the  newest entry-level DSLR from Nikon  and incorporates a 24 megapixel sensor, and while one might be tempted to think it’s the same as the one in the D3200, we’re pretty sure it’s not. It brings with it an updated AF system with 39 AF points along with a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for accurate metering. The camera is a long awaited update to the very popular D5100, which is a camera that we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. The D5200 costs Rs. 41,450 for the body only, and if you have 60K to blow, you can even throw in a 50mm f/1.8 lens into the mix, or just stick with a kit package with would cost you Rs. 46,950 for the 18-55mm option and Rs. 57,950 with the 18-105mm option.

Spice Mobility has introduced two new Android-based devices called the Spice Mi-530 and Spice Stellar Nhance Mi-435. Both the devices come with dual-SIM capabilities and are available online for Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 7,199 respectively. The Spice Mi-530 has a 5.3-inch qHD (540x960 pixel) IPS display, taking on a range of other budget phablets available in the market such as the Micromax Canvas 2 A110, Micromax A116.

Rs. 10,990 Karbonn has put forth an entrant in the still nascent budget quad-core smartphone segment, with the announcement of the Smart Titanium 1, priced at Rs. 10,990. The phone is scheduled to hit markets in early February. Currently, the only other device in this segment, is the yet to be launched Micromax A116 Canvas HD.

Samsung has added another device to its Galaxy portfolio. Called the Galaxy Grand Duos the device is a 5-inch phablets priced at Rs. 21,500. Samsung was the manufacturer that nailed the phablets category with the launch of the Galaxy Note in late 2010. They launched the Note II in 2012, which was a follow up to the original Note and was well received. Today, at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, the company’s first mid-range phablet, and we got some hands on time with the device at the event. Here’s what we thought of it:

    Rs. 39,139  Features  Acer Aspire V5 houses a comparatively older Intel Core i3-  2365M processor which belongs to the  Sandy Bridge  line   up, clocked at 1.4 GHz without any Turbo Boost. It has HD 3000 integrated graphics and no discrete graphics component. It bundles this with 4 GB of RAM, around 500 GB of HDD and the monitor is touch-sensitive. So in essence, Acer have tried oto present a budget laptop with a Windows 8 OS onboard and a touchscreen monitor. What’s more, it also offers an optical drive for those of you who still have a stack of DVDs. Acer have adopted a smart way to hide the actual thickness, by having a tapering design approach. The V5 does feel heavy at 2.1kg.

It is powered by a 1GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM and runs on Android 4.0 ICS straight out of the box. The best part is that the OS is a vanilla experience. There is no skin overlaying it. The phablet has 4GB built-in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Apple news site iLounge has  offered up a few details about the upcoming fifth-generation iPad, as well as Apple's new iPhone models. Jeremy Horwitz, iLounge's editor, claims to have seen a model of the so-called iPad 5, and said the device will sport many of the same features seen on the iPad mini. Specifically, the new iPad will be "a lot smaller than one would guess was possible," he said. When held in portrait orientation, the bezels to the left and right of the 9.7-inch screen will be practically nonexistent. The space above and below the screen will be just big enough to accommodate the camera up top and Home Button down below.

Sony has officially announced its new flagship tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z. Believed to be a significant upgrade over the Xperia Tablet S, the Tablet Z runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and has a thickness of just 6.9mm. The Xperia Tablet Z, recently leaked online, comes with a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels augmented by Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine, as well as Qualcomm's 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip, and an 8.1MP Exmor R camera.

     Rs. 11,999, HCL has launched a new Android-based tablet, the Me Y3. Available online at Rs. 11,999, the HCL slate comes with dual-SIM support. The HCL Me Y3 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor and 1GB of DDR3 RAM,. It has a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

Rs. 15,000. Micromax has added another device to its smartphone portfolio, the A116 Canvas HD. The device will be available from the first week of February and Micromax will start taking pre-orders for the device after Republic Day. Micromax didn’t announce a final price for the product but said that it will cost under Rs. 15,000.

Sony CEO, Kaz Hirai has said in an interview, 'Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?' Keeping this strategy in mind, Sony plans to launch the next generation PlayStation, the PS4 after the competition Microsoft launches the next generation Xbox. This strategy doesn’t seem to be perfect and it looks like Sony is the one that wants to see what the competition has to offer. As the next generation console launch is just around the corner, its doubtful that any major changes can be made to the hardware at the last minute.

MRP : 21500 Samsung has added another device to its Galaxy portfolio. The device falls under the phablet category. Called the Galaxy Grand Duos, the device boasts of some impressive specifications. To start with, it has a 5-inch WVGA TFT display with a 480x800 pixel resolution. This makes the resolution at par with a few budget phablets available in the market today, though some, like theMicromax A116 Canvas HD, sport 720p HD resolutions.

The device is expected to be 6.45mm thin, so it’s a little surprising to see that the device is so thin and yet houses a 13MP camera. In terms of other specifications, the Ascend P2 is expected to have a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display, 1.8GHz quad-core HiSilicon K3V2 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It has 8GB built-in storage and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly A 3,000mAh Li-on battery is supposed to power it.

Acer has officially added the Liquid E1 to its smartphone portfolio. Acer is positioning the device as a mid-range smartphone. Acer hasn’t yet announced the pricing and availability of the device. Under the hood, the Acer Liquid E1 has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out-of-the-box. It has a 4.5-inch display with a 960x540 pixel (qHD) resolution. The rear of the device has a 5MP camera with an LED flash whereas the front has a 0.3MP camera for video chat.

MRP : 2999 DmC is the perfect reboot and should be set as a benchmark for other action game reboots. The story is simple yet entertaining thanks to the great execution of characters. The combat is fantastic and friendly to newcomers as well as challenging to veterans. At the end of the game you have a satisfying feeling of accomplishment. I haven't had so much fun playing a game since Batman Arkham City! The game will take about 12 hours for the first playthrough.

The Sennheiser Momentum can be described in one word - brilliant. Yes, it does cost quite a bit of money, and at Rs. 24,900, it significantly restricts the potential customer base. For those who can afford this, we would strongly urge that you go and consider it before buying anything else .

MRP : 39990 The iLume delivers fairly impressive performance from a pint-sized form factor. Well-built, the projector offers good brightness and sharpness, apart from solid HD video reproduction. The on-screen menu is well laid out, however, the remote response is slightly iffy. The iLume packs decent speakers for occasional use, but you will need a proper set for most usage scenarios.

The unit we got had an SSD of 64GB capacity, but this can be upgraded to upto 256 GB. Looking at the specifications, it is understood that this device is not meant to run heavy applications such as Photoshop. Cinebench R11.5 was crawling when we were running the benchmark which is understandable as the processor is no match for the more mainstream Intel Core i-series processors.

We recommend you give this game a try. If you have played the original Temple Run, you will immediately fall in love with this game. It's simple enough for casual gamers to pick up and enjoy and veterans will of course want to dominate the leaderboards. The graphics are great, gameplay is addictive and simple, and the best part is that the game is free. A must download for anyone with an iOS device.

The battery life is good, display is large and comfortable to use but the audio output is quite poor. There are budget smartphones out there with better raw performance but they don't offer users a second battery straight out of the box. For people used to using budget devices, the fact that it looks like an S III clone is an added bonus. On the downside, the device is plagued with the occasional hang found on all budget devices. We suggest you take a look at the Karbonn A21 as well as the Micromax Canvas 2 A110 along with this device before making your purchase decision.

We have criticized that phone for the low-res display, but considering where the Lumia 620 will be priced, this seems just fine. It is a bonus that there is 8GB of built-in storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion. The camera is  a 5MP one with 720p HD video recording capabilities. But do remember, this isn’t the PureView variety. The processing power comes from a dual-core 1GHz chip coupled with 512MB of RAM, and that seems a tad bit limiting in the long run.

The Galaxy S II plus will be available in two variants – one with NFC and one without. No details of the pricing or availability of the device are available yet. In terms of other specifications, the Galaxy S II Plus shows off a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA display with 800x400 pixel resolution. A 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM power the device. It boasts of 8GB built-in storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. Under the hood, a 1,650mAh battery powers it. The rear of the camera houses an 8MP camera and the front has a 2MP camera for video chatting.

PRICE : RS. 27559 The  Lumia 820  has a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Side by side with the big brother, the Lumia 920, there seemed to be a huge difference. However, even as a standalone, this resolution will seem a little less, considering Android phones in this price bracket are now sporting 1280 x 720 pixel resolutions. No shortage of power though, since this has a 1.5GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB built-in storage, with a memory card slot for storage expansion.
